About the equipment- Prepare to have your mind blown. All Thirst snowboards are designed and constructed like no other snowboard. They are built in the USA by the founder of the company with more than 40 years of experience. Thirst snowboards do not follow the antiquated construction method of a profiled wood core. Thirst cores are constructed with 35+ components, not counting the core blank/blanks or inserts. Exclusive to Thirst is their Cross-to-Carve series. Want more details on the boards?
Thirst snowboards offer a refinement unavailable anywhere else. Cross-to-Carve is defined as a Thirst snowboard designed for hard or softboot mount and has the carving pedigree as the main priority of the board’s function. Cross-to-Carve boards perform incredibly well at every mountain, in all conditions and have incredible edge hold. The Thirst side cut, termed EX-EL, is not a true radius arc but a blended radius designed to work with the flex dynamic of the snowboard. This side cut provides full length effective edge contact and is proven to allow the stiffness of a board to be less of a concern regarding rider weight. For example, demo riders have all easily been able to ride the same board with weight differentials of more than 50 pounds, height differences of more than a foot and stance widths varying more than 4”, all with different styles and abilities. You can throw out your preconceptions about what length is too long for you to ride; a Thirst is incredibly easy to ride and will redefine your ideas. All Thirst snowboards are constructed with full wrap metal edges. An additional feature in shape is RC3T, a reverse camber tip and tail transition that helps to relieve tip and tail pressure in other than carving situations for easier side-slipping and pivot technique in powder. Every Thirst is flex-indexed. This is a reverse-engineer-able and quantifiable method to measure the stiffness of a board.
